General enquiries


How much does it cost per book?
Vision is not a per-book app nor it is a subscription. The app is not tied to any single book and it works across multiple book titles. The tokens can be used in more than 30+ book titles across MCE and EPH. The value you get is not in “completing a book”, but rather the personalised feedback your child gets along the way.

Does it work with more than one subject?
Yes. Vision works with English and Science subjects.

Do I need to use the same phone each time?
No, you can log in on any device. Your child’s progress is saved on your parent and child accounts.

Does it work on devices other than phones?
Vision can be accessed via the phone, tablet, or even a laptop. We highly recommend our users to use Vision on their phones for the most optimal experience.

What’s the difference between the app in the App Store and Play Store and the webapp?
Our Vision Workbooks app on the respective app stores are companion apps for our users who prefer that format.

Our webapp (app.visionworkbooks.com) has the full functionality as in the companion app: from page scans, to managing the progress of children, to Claro. In addition, it includes the ability to manage your tokens.

How do I top up my tokens?
You can head down to your nearest POPULAR Bookstore or website to purchase a scratch card, then go to our webapp to redeem the code!
OR you can head to our webapp at your convenience. Simply select the desired pack of tokens, check out, and off you go!

I have a redemption code. How do I redeem it?
Head to our webapp and sign up if you haven't, or log in if you already have an account. At the top right corner, there's a button with numbers which is your token balance. Tap on it and you should see a space for you to redeem your code. You can check out this video for a step-by-step guide.

Which pack should I buy?
If you are unsure of how much to invest, try the app for free – we provide at least 3 free pages for you to test!
If you want an extended way to try the app, then go for our Starter Pack which can get you started.
If you have many kids or more than 3 books, then go for our Pro Pack which offers the best value.

Is this a subscription?
No. We know customers are tired of subscriptions. Vision Workbooks offers no plans, no monthly lock-ins. Some books need more practice, some less. Token use is flexible with your child’s workload. Just top up tokens and use them whenever your child practices.

Tokens


What are tokens?
It’s like a data plan. For example, you get 10GB upfront: you get to watch 5 movies and download 100 songs. The best part? Unlike a data plan which runs every month, the tokens here don’t expire. The higher-quality movies and music will consume more data, while the lower-quality ones will consume less. Likewise, more complex questions will use up more Vision tokens.

How do I see my token balance?
To view and manage your token balance, please visit our webapp. This feature is not available in the companion apps on App Store and Google Play.

How many tokens does one book use?
It depends on how much your child practices! Vision isn’t tied to one book. It works with any of the 30+ compatible book titles. Each token is like a drop of data you spend when your child uploads a page for AI feedback.

How many tokens do I need per page?
Each page uses a small number of tokens, depending on the number and complexity of questions.

Can I share tokens between my children?
Yes, tokens belong to your parent account. Children accounts will consume from the parent account balance.

Do tokens expire?
No.

What AI do you use?
We use leading-edge AI to read the handwriting and provide instant personalised feedback.

How good can the AI read handwriting?
Our AI can read the messiest handwriting. A good rule is: if the handwriting is not readable by a human, Vision could have trouble as well. Exams are done by handwriting so we encourage students to practice that, if handwriting is an issue.

How does the AI scoring and feedback work?
Each answer is graded as Poor, Fair or Excellent. On top of the model answer, students also receive encouraging and specific feedback.
  • Poor: Describes an answer that is not on target and would score badly.
  • Fair: Describes a partially correct answer. This is a midpoint result.
  • Excellent: Describes a full-mark answer.
I can't seem to successfully scan a page with my phone. What can I do?
To get the best page scan results, we encourage you to adopt the following best practices:
  • Use a blue pen ideally, or at least a 2B pencil
  • Ensure you have selected the correct book
  • Ensure that the lighting is good; turn on flash if needed
  • Ensure that all 4 corners of the page can be seen, with the page number visible
  • Try to avoid having the adjacent page in the shot
  • Try to have the book and page lie as flat as possible
